[edit] Musical History

William has a unique musical style of Christian country music - an uncommon combination from a Jamaican. He plays both electric and acoustical guitar left-handed and plays the keyboard as well.

From the early 70s until 1978, Nelson performed with the group The Pleiades in Jamaica. He wrote most of the lyrics to their album Thunder & Lightning.

In 2002 he released the solo religious album I Promised God which he performed in concert in Dallas/Fort Worth area churches. He still occasionally performs solos at churches.

There are a great number of William Nelson master recordings on audio tape that have not been produced into released albums.
