William Humble

William Humble (later William John Humble-Crofts; December 9, 1846 — July 1, 1924) was an English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman who played for Derbyshire between 1873 and 1877.

Humble made his debut in an innings defeat for Derbyshire in 1873. He played further matches between 1874, including a match against Kent in which the opposition scored one of their lowest totals in first-class cricket, of 25, and 1877, an innings victory against Hampshire spearheaded by a century by John Platts.

Humble was a lower-middle order batsman. Humble was born in Sutton Scarsdale and died in Waldron. Humble's nephew, Archibald White, was club captain of Yorkshire between 1912 and 1918.
