William Henry (May 19, 1729– December 15, 1786) was an American gunsmith from Chester County, Pennsylvania. He was a delegate for Pennsylvania to the Continental Congress in 1784 and 1785. Prior to his service in the Continental Congress, Henry was a gunsmith and provided rifles to the British during the French and Indian War and later the Continental Army during the American Revolution.
In 1763 he made his own steam engine, and then failed in an attempt to build a steamboat.
