William Graham Nicholson

Rt Hon. William Graham Nicholson (11 March 1862 – 29 July 1942) PC JP was a British Conservative politician.
The eldest son of William Nicholson JP DL, of Basing Park, Hampshire, he was educated at Harrow School and at Trinity College, Cambridge.
He was Lieutenant-Colonel and Honorary Colonel commanding the 3rd Battalion of the Hampshire Regiment. In 1890 he married Alice Margaret Beach, daughter of Rt Hon. William Wither Bramston Beach MP.
He was Conservative Member of Parliament for Petersfield Hampshire, from 1897 until his retirement in 1935. He was appointed a Privy Counsellor in 1925.
