William G. Thompson

William G. Thompson (July 23, 1840July 20, 1904) served two terms as mayor of Detroit, Michigan, from 1880 to 1883. He was also a delegate to the Republican National Convention from Michigan in 1880.

He also served as Staff Officer in the Union Army during the American Civil War.

He is interred at Princeton Cemetery in Princeton, New Jersey.
