William Edwards (politician)

William Henry Edwards (born 6 January 1938) is a former British Labour politician.
Edwards was educated at Amlwch Grammar School and Sir Thomas Jones Comprehensive School, Liverpool and London College of Law. He became a solicitor and a visiting lecturer at Liverpool College of Commerce.
Edwards contested Flint West in 1964. He was Member of Parliament for Merionethshire from 1966 to 1974, when he lost the seat in the February election of that year to Plaid Cymru's Dafydd Elis Thomas.
