William E. Morris (politician)

William E. (Bill) Morris (born 1920) founded the Libertarian Party of Delaware in 1975 and the advocacy group SAFE^[1] as an alternative to the AARP in 1997. In 2004, Morris first ran for political office as the Delaware Libertarian candidate for a United States House of Representatives seat. In 2006, Morris is a Delaware Libertarian candidate for a United States Senate seat.

Bill Morris was born in 1920 in Versailles, Missouri. He received a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Missouri and in following years worked for the Exxon Corporation in New Jersey and DuPont in Delaware, from the latter of which he has retired. He has been married since 1967 and has both children and grand-children.
