William George Cove (21 May 1888 – 15 March 1963) was a British Labour Party politician.
Cove was first elected to the House of Commons as Member of Parliament (MP) for Wellingborough in Northamptonshire at the 1923 general election
In 1929 the Leader of the Opposition and soon to be Prime Minister, Ramsay Macdonald, vacated his Aberavon seat and migrated to the English seat of Seaham in County Durham. Cove left his marginal Wellingborough and held the Welsh seat of Aberavon at the 1929 general election. Cove continued to represent Aberavon in Parliament for thirty years until he retired at the House of Commons at the 1959 general election.
His successor as MP for Aberavon, John Morris held the seat for over forty years.
