William Atwater

Dr. William Felix Atwater is the current Director of the Aberdeen Proving Ground Ordnance Museum in Maryland, USA. He served in Vietnam, was wounded, and then went on to get a Ph. D. in Military History from Duke University. He appears in many documentaries on military history on TLC and The History Channel, cable television stations, as well as several low budget documentaries.[1]

Dr. Atwater is currently engaged in trying to preserve some of the last remaining historic military assets in the world. Atwater said of the Ordnance Museum Foundation that "It is our moral and legal responsibility to preserve military assets,". [2]
