Willard Drug Treatment Center

Willard Drug Treatment Center is a specialized state prison in Seneca County, New York, USA. The prison focuses on treatment of drug-addicted convicts. Willard Drug Treatment Center is located in Willard, a community in the Town of Romulus, and is adjacent to Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes District.

The drug treatment center was opened in 1995 on the campus of the former Willard State Hospital, a facility for mental patients.

The program is for non-violent criminals as an alternative to incarceration.

The facility operates in a military fashion with inspections and physical conditioning. Vocational training and counseling services are provided. Inmates live in dormitories instead of cells. Ousider visits are restricted: one visit every two weeks.
