[edit] History

Willa McPherson is an editor under Lucy who is on thin ice after the discovery of some unsatisfactory text messages of hers in episode one. She tried to show her dedication to the job by taking drugs from Garbo in order to gain her trust and get her to divulge some information but failed, not adept to taking drugs, and was subsequently chewed out by Lucy. In episode four she is confronted by Lucy, again questioning her dedication. After this encounter, she goes so far as to model her foot for a doctor with a foot fetish as he masturbates in front of her, to extract information, an act which disgusts her greatly.

During coverage of a story, she befriends a psychologically unstable teenage girl, who divulges a fair amount of information, including being the murderer of her best friend. This becomes a controversial revelation, as the girl later reveals her father coerced her into this. At the episode's conclusion, however, it seemed that the latter confession was merely backpedaling as the evidence was against her. Willa was also in a "no-strings" relationship with Brent Barrow, which he ended despite his attempts to start a romance between them.

In the season finale, Willa's character begins to draws parallels to Lucy in her claiming "ownership" (through blackmail) of a modeling agent and any stories she can provide, a tactic which Lucy uses through her much-famed celebrity vault.
