Will Powers

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Will Powers was the stage name used by celebrity photographer, Lynn Goldsmith, and character actor Gerrit Graham used in 1982, when they created a parody of aerobic workout albums. Their album, entitled Dancing for Mental Health, was intended to suggest what would occur should a psychiatrist recorded an album of a similar nature. Will Powers was the name of the psychiatrist that was narrating the album. Powers was portrayed by Goldsmith during the spoken word sections and by Graham during the sung sections.

Guest artists on Dancing for Mental Health included Sting, Steve Winwood, Nile Rodgers, Todd Rundgren, and Carly Simon.

At least two singles were released - "Kissing With Confidence" and "Adventures in Success".
