American comics and humor writer, born 1955. Coauthor, with Gerard Jones of The Beaver Papers, The Comic Book Heroes, and the comic book The Trouble with Girls. Contributed to various DC Comics and National Lampoon magazine. Left professional writing in the 1990s to found a used and antiquarian book service, Avalon Books.
