Wilhelmsen Lines (OSE: WWI) is a publically owned Norwegian shipping company. The company was founded in Tønsberg October 1, 1861 by Morten Wilhelm Wilhelmsen.
In 1999, Wilhelmsen Lines and Swedish Wallenius Lines agreed to form a joint operating company for their activities under the name of Wallenius Wilhelmsen Lines.

Wilhelmsen is investing heavily in Myanmar [(in Norwegian)]. The activities is through Makara Marine Contractors (Burma), owned by Makara Marine Contractors (Mauritius), owned by Barber Ship Management (Hong Kong), in the Wilhelmsen Group.
