Wilfred Brown

Wilfred Brown (1922-1971) was an accomplished English Tenor [1] He was born in Horsham, Sussex and educated at Collyers School, Sidney Sussex, Cambridge and Trinity College of Music. Brown was a lifelong member of The Society of Friends [2]. He was Master in charge of Music at Bedales before becoming a full time musician. Amongst others he recorded the definitive performance of Gerald Finzi's Dies Natalis Op 8 and a noted collection of English Folk Songs with his great friend, the guitarist John Williams [3].
