The Wildlife Trust is a non-profit, non-governmental organization working on conservation and captive breeding issues in the United States. It is headquartered in New York City.

It was founded in 1971 by Gerald Durrell as a sister organization of the Jersey Wildlife Preservation Trust (now Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust), and was initially known as the Wildlife Preservation Trust International. It also initially shared the Dodo logo with the Jersey Wildlife Preservation Trust, before having the present Black Tamarin logo. In 2006, Wildlife Trust engaged Broad Street Licensing Group to develop and implement a brand licensing program for the organization.

The children's chapter of the Trust - Wild Ones, is dedicated to the cause of environmental awareness and education among children.

The trust is actively involved in the protection of species around the world, like:

It has been instrumental in local infrastructure development and education for in-situ conservation, like the founding of the Center for Insect Conservation and Management (PEKA), in Indonesia. The Trust concentrates on impact studies, sustainability studies and in-situ infrastructure development for conservation. A case in point is the impact analysis of introduced Mute Swans in the Hudson River.

Its highest visibility project is possibly the New York Bioscape project.
