Wildlife Preservation Canada
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Wildlife Preservation Canada is a non-profit, non-governmental organization working on conservation and captive breeding issues in Canada. It is headquartered in Guelph, Ontario.
It was founded in 1985 by Gerald Durrell as a sister organization of the Jersey Wildlife Preservation Trust (now Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust), and was initially known as the Wildlife Preservation Trust Canada. It was founded on the lines of its other sister organization Wildlife Trust in the United States. It also initially shared the Dodo logo with the Jersey Wildlife Preservation Trust, before having the present logo.
The Trust supports young environmentalists with the Canada's New Noah program.
