Wilderness Press

Wilderness Press is a Berkeley, CA based publisher of outdoor guidebooks and maps founded by Thomas Winnett in 1967. Its first publication was Sierra North, considered the authoritative guidebook for hikers and backpackers in the Northern Sierra Nevada (US). The books cover California, Alaska, Hawaii, the U.S. Southwest and Pacific Northwest, New England, Canada, and Baja and are expanding to cover other areas of the U.S.
