[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia!
Hello Willirennen, welcome to Wikipedia!
Here are some tips:
- Take a look at the Simplified Ruleset.
- Read the Tutorial, How to edit a page and the Manual of Style.
- Find out how to revert, move and merge pages.
- Sign your posts on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~).
- Add yourself to the New user log and a regional notice board
- Ask questions at the Village pump or Help desk.
- Use the Show preview button
- Provide an Edit summary
- Add the correct image copyright tag to any images you upload
- Create a User page
- Be bold
- Ignore all rules
If you feel a change is needed, feel free to make it yourself! Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone (yourself included) can edit any article by following the Edit this page link. Wikipedia convention is to be bold and not be afraid of making mistakes. If you're not sure how editing works, have a look at How to edit a page, or try out the Sandbox to test your editing skills.
If, for some reason, you are unable to fix a problem yourself, feel free to ask someone else to do it. Wikipedia has a vibrant community of contributors who have a wide range of skills and specialties, and many of them would be glad to help. As well as the wiki community pages there are IRC Channels, where you are more than welcome to ask for assistance.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page. Thanks and happy editing, Alphax τεχ 04:27, 10 September 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Page Blanking & Redirects
On 21-Feb, you blanked Japanese Touring Car Championship. Blanking pages is generally considered a bad idea. I have redirected this article to All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship. If you believe the page should be deleted, please follow the deletion procedures. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! -- JLaTondre 01:38, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
- Duplicated from my talk page: Don't place comments on a user page. Always put them on the user's talk page. I have copied the above comments to [my talk page] and reverted your edits to my user page.
- I see you have created a new article. However, if you find yourself in a similar spot again, remember that you can find a different redirect, replace it with a stub article, or nominate the redirect for deletion. The deletion procedures provide information on how to get something deleted. Creating a stub article (a couple sentances and a stub tag) is always a good option when you know there should be an article, but you don't have time to write one. If you ever have questions, let me know. -- JLaTondre 23:15, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Page Blanking & editing AGAIN
please do not remove the nismo 350z record hill climb time. IF it WAS a fun run(as you insultingly implied) then why is it timed to the 1000th of a second? it is a valid contribution to the article. looking at your past comments this is a common practice.
[edit] Request for edit summary
Hi. I am a bot, and I am writing to you with a request. I would like to ask you, if possible, to use edit summaries a bit more often when you contribute. The reason an edit summary is important is because it allows your fellow contributors to understand what you changed; you can think of it as the "Subject:" line in an email. For your information, your current edit summary usage is 14% for major edits and 16% for minor edits. (Based on the last 150 major and 150 minor edits in the article namespace.)
This is just a suggestion, and I hope that I did not appear impolite. You do not need to reply to this message, but if you would like to give me feedback, you can do so at the feedback page. Thank you, and happy edits, Mathbot 11:30, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for your help, is edit summeries, the thing, when people puts a comment on the small box? willirennen 11.38 1 March 2006 (utc)
- Yes, that's what an edit summary is. Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 16:20, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: splitting a merge
Take a look at {{split}}; if you want to undo a merge, edit the redirects (see Help:Redirect for more details how) back to the last version before the merge tags were applied. As for old AFDs, just ignore them - someone will come along to fix them up once they're linked from WP:AFD/Old. Cheers, Alphax τεχ 03:08, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Nurburgring-1978-04-30-001.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Nurburgring-1978-04-30-001.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Top title3.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Top title3.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr.) 20:31, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] johnte price ?
It looks like you recently added to the Enzo Ferrari (car) article a line:
+ johnte price, american person lives in hawwaii and net worth is 275 million dollars
This line is completely unformatted- was it added by mistake? I would have fixed it for you, but I don't know who this person is. brain 21:57, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Motorcycling Wikiproject

[edit] Wikiproject Automobiles Notification
Hi Willirennen, you were on the list of members at WikiProject Automobiles and we are introducing a new way of listing members, as the old list was becoming too long. Our new method involves having all of our members in a category.
To add yourself to the category just add the userbox to your user page by putting {{Wiki Auto Project}} where you want the userbox. Alternatively if you don't like the userbox you can add [[Category:WikiProject Automobiles members|Willirennen]] to your userpage.
If you no longer wish to be a member of the project, simply don't add the userbox or category, there's no pressure. Thanks for your time, James086Talk | Contribs 04:39, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

you appear to have confused what you think with cited material. Don't worry, I've corrected the error. 69.225.121.41 11:39, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] List of films with similar themes and release dates
Howdy! You've just added Cars and Taledega Nights to this article. Several of us have been cleaning up the article to get rid of original research, and it's becoming clear during it's proposed deletion that we need to keep this list to strikingly similar films, not just films that have slightly similar subjects. I'm not so sure it's that notable that two racing car movies were released in 2006. If you can find some newspaper or magazine article that comments on how similar these movies are to each other, then please add that reference to the article. Otherwise, would you consider removing this entry? Thanks. Cas510 16:31, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] WikiProject Rock music invitation
Hello WikiProject Alternative music member.
WikiProject Alternative music, in my eyes, has proved to be successful "improving the encyclopaedic coverage of articles relating to alternative rock", and improving their quality as well. One specific example I have witnessed is The Smashing Pumpkins article. The page has gone from a mediocre work, to GA status, to FA nomination. Only appropriate, as the Pumpkins are undeniably one of the most influential alternative rock bands on the 1990's and beyond.
This is the stuff I wish to achieve with the somewhat recently ressurected WikiProject Rock music. I hope to also attract attention to rock music articles of all sorts, and hopefully change some to GA or FA status. I invite you to come join us, and not only be a member of alternative Wikipedians, but the rockin' ones as well.
Rock on.

[edit] AIV
Thank you for making a report on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, administrators are generally only able to block users if they have received a recent final warning (one that mentions that the user may be blocked) and they have recently vandalized after that warning was given. The reported user has not yet been blocked because it appears this has not occurred yet. If this user continues to vandalize even after their final warning, please report them to the AIV noticeboard again. Thank you. - Alison☺ 00:18, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
- Please do not report IP vandals unless they have vandalised after a recent final warning. Because IP addresses may she shared, the same user may not be responsible for the vandalism. Also, blocks of IP addresses can affect multiple accounts and are therefore short-term. WjBscribe 00:53, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] WikiProject Alternative music and sources
As part of the Alternative music WikiProject, we're gathering a list of sources on this page. Could you take a look and perhaps add any written references you have access to? Thanks! CloudNine 10:09, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
