[edit] motor paced cycle races

Will, I still don't understand how the motor paced cycle races work. Having watched a few, it seems like the guys on the dernys are just going whatever speed they want, and the cyclists keep up. Is that correct? If so, how is that a good race? Kellen T 10:00, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I got that the races were supposed to be exciting because of the speeds involved, but when I watched those races (in person at the 6-day race in Berlin) it seemed like a lot of the riders were pretty evenly matched, and that the winner was more dictated by how fast their derny was going... I'll have to watch some more, I guess. Kellen T 17:30, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
