[edit] As far as not needlessly decompiling things...
We should start an Eastern NC project. The articles on the region tend to be pretty low-quality or non-existent as of yet. I bet we could really make some progress. I just made the article on the Pasquotank River; we also need to clarify some of the towns in the area (i.e. Moyock and the like). Of course, we can work on them individually, but we could also form a coalition. Interested?
On a similar note, since you're actually there, would you mind getting a picture for the Pasquotank article? I have some, but they're not really very distinguishable. Go for downtown if you'd like. AdamantlyMike 02:41, 2 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Regarding Jordan Box...
User page for who? Because the creator is an anonymous user, he/she/it can't have a user page. I'm sending this to AfD. -Nameneko 06:21, 6 November 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks for the quick reply! Here's the AfD listing, in case you're interested. -Nameneko 06:28, 6 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Urgent Reparation of Tragedy
I didn't realize it until now, but the ECSU article is pathetically lacking for a UNC-System school. I nominate the two of us to get it fixed up; we can definitely get some worthwhile photos over Thanksgiving break. -- AdamantlyMike 03:28, 14 November 2005 (UTC)
Update 1/26/06 -- stop adding userboxes to your page and help me finish the article darnit. And it kind of pisses me off that someone deleted the Viking Logo (which I DID tag as fair use) without even consulting me. Anyhow, I'll reupload that and mess with the article a little. It seriously doesn't need much more -- go get a picture of one of those halls. Also get a picture of 7-11 since it's essentially their dining hall. -- AdamantlyMike 22:24, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] fair use images not allowed on user pages
Sorry, but per Wikipedia:Fair use criteria, fair use images are not allowed on user pages. Please remove those you have on your user page (such as the Order of the Arrow and team logos). Thank you. howcheng {chat} 22:11, 7 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dragon Ball Wiki
Sure count me in I already went there and created an account so I'll see you around, cheers! -Dark Dragon Flame 03:36, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

- Heya =) I saw a post regarding this on the Daizenshuu EX forums a few hours ago. I agree, it's in pretty bad shape (A lot of the articles I saw were badly written, Wiki rip offs). I don't know if you'll get as many people as you want, considering a good amount of us just want Wikipedia Dragon Ball articles to be good, but I'll do what I can to help. VelocityEX 05:02, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
Thank you for the offer! I actually am signed up there too, but I haven't done much over there as of yet. I noticed (and see in the manual of style) a preference for the dubbed anime, which I don't really abide. We've had much debate over here on Wikipedia and have grown to favor original sources over localizations, and I don't really want to get in that debate all over again.
If you want, I'll touch on why. I find info from the dub to be sketchy, and the argument "because this is American or English" to be flawed. The dub is inconsistent. Did you know they are on the verge of re-dubbing season 3 for the new DVD boxset release? Also, using the dub makes an attack list all but impossible. In Japan a master list was printed for the Daizenshuu, listing the attacks from the manga and anime, and is what the video games go by. In America, the names have been translated by different people for different releases at different times, and no master list exists. Video game translations are not consistent with each other (keep in mind in the original they are all using the same single list). Two examples. Tenshinhan/Tien's Kikoho is the Tri-beam, Blast Cannon, Ki Blast Cannon, and Chi Kung Blast. 4 names between manga, anime, and video games for what is one attack. On the other end, Piccolo's Bakurikimaha and Gohan's Masenko (two different attacks) are both now called the Masenkoha. The dub is also peppered with made up information, fake powerlevels (or omitted in some cases), etc. I was watching the Ultimate Uncut and Nappa says "there are over half a dozen people here with power levels over a thousand " or something like that (implying 7 or more). This line was made up, there were only 6 Z Senshi, and one of them was weaker than a thousand as it is.
Also, the Viz manga is just as official, as are Steve Simmons' official subtitle track using proper romanizations. So I don't jive with the idea that the anime dub tracks(s) are the only official info for english-speakers, and they are without a doubt the least reliable.
Still, if there is anything specific I can do to help, or if you have a question let me know. I know quite a bit about this series. You also might want to contact Fuad Ramses. He knows just as much as I do, with more of a specialty in trivia and obscure side info. Onikage725 17:50, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- Although I will use the wiki site and contribute some, I would not be a person on whom you should count. Thank you for the offer though. :)

[edit] AfD nomination of WOW 2001
An editor has nominated WOW 2001, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/WOW Hits and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it.
