[edit] To do to improve
- photo would be nice
- in-line citations
- more references
- more on her upbringing and how it shaped her world-view (please provide examples)
- more on her tenure as Chief for the Cherokee Nation by each of her terms and the impacts she had upon Cherokee Nation and Indian Country as a whole
- is there more to her list of bibliography?
- other than her health problems that forced her resignation and writing, how else have she occupied her time?
Please cross off the list as they have been completed. Thanks. CJLippert 02:35, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Sources for expansion
Found this while checking on Mankiller's formal title, and thought it might be useful for expanding on the article: http://archive.salon.com/people/bc/2001/11/20/mankiller/index.html
Perhaps a comment on her name would be nice. Can anyone find a good reference?
[edit] Samuel James from Geary, Oklahoma
"she even knew Samuel James from Geary Oklahoma."
Samuel, while this information is probably very gratifying to you personally, it doesn't belong in the encyclopedia until such a time as you get your own entry for encyclopediable events.
