[edit] Note-facts vs Fiction
Note: See Handbook of Texas online on Longley:
- Longley was involved in a killing of a black man named Green Evans in Dec 20 1868-not 1866.
- The Texas State Police was not formed until 1870.
- Longley's entry in the Handbook also reports there is no evidence he killed a Union soldier in Yorktown Texas or joined Cullen Baker.
- In February 1870 he did kill a black man named Brice. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 134.53.145.98 (talk • contribs).
[edit] Proposed Merger
The two pages are on the same person; I just happened to notice while contributing to the article on Giddings, Texas. I have no real outlaw expertise, so it would be great if somebody else could do this. Tim giddings 19:13, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
