[edit] Requested move

N.B. the article had been located at "Wiiliam Bush" and was moved to William Bush (Hornblower) with William Bush becoming a disambiguation page. olderwiser 22:18, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

I am a new Wikipedian. I boldly read the introduction. I boldly read the tutorial. I boldly read the guide. Boldly, I planned what I wanted to say ... And I then proceeded to boldly misspell the title of my very first article! As a new author, I cannot move the article myself. I boldly apologize for any trouble and ask that an administrator boldly move this article. Thank you. Oma 04:03, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Since another article called William Bush already exists, I boldly suggest a move to William Bush (Hornblower), and of course, the bold creation of a disambiguation page.  :-) Errabee 09:09, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
I boldly concur. William Bush is a redirect to a different, R[eal] W[orld], Bush. As for this page: I've read all of Hornblower, I think; and I didn't know his first name. Which novel is it in? Septentrionalis 14:58, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Errabee's point is a good one. I would (fussily, boldly, etc) hasten to add that the page named "William Bush" is in fact a disambiguation page which redirects readers to an article entitled "William Sharp Bush". However, I am not against adding "Hornblower" to the title"
I sought but did not find an article for an R W Bush. [Edit: I grin at myself. Real World Bush. Sheesh!]
Now I grin at Septentrionalis and say that the first three words of Lieutenant Hornblower are "Lieutenant William Bush". So that is how I know. Oma 16:50, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
I'd suggest merging the article to the William Bush page, then changing the request on this article from {move} to {delete} (since one way or another it will require an administrator’s assistance). A disambiguation page also probably should be added to the William Bush page, directing the user to the William Sharp Bush page as the redirect originally did. mwazzap 10:40, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Attempt to move article over redirect

I attempted to move the article Wiiliam Bush to the redirect page William Bush, but was unable to do so because there already was an "article" there (I was under the impression that moves could be made over redirects.) The problem was, I accidentally used the move option on the discussion page of Wiiliam Bush first, which was moved, since there wasn't a talk page created for this article yet. Thus, I'm reverting the talk page (with the exception of this explanation), as well as the article (which I had considered clearing to facilitate a merge with Wiiliam Bush article and subsequently replacing with a disambiguation that would assume the original purpose of the redirect but decided against.) mwazzap 10:44, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

I moved the page back to the original name, and also restored the history, which was (accidentally, I presume) deleted by you. Errabee 22:14, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
Ya, my bad... Thanks. mwazzap 12:12, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
