Apparently, Will Turner is a character created by some writer who sent his script to Disney but was rejected.

[edit] Wills Anti Pirate attitude
For one with such a bleak look on pirates Will seems to be well on the way of becoming one himself. He works very well with the crew. I think whoever did their research for the Traits section needs to think more about character development over the films. Technobabble1 18:01, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
Too true. Has anyone even noticed how more of a pirate Elizabeth is than Will. He may be the son of a pirate but he sure doesn't act like it. Perhaps it is Will's fear he will lose Elizabeth because she is becoming more pirate-like, thus being more attractive to Jack, that turns Will enter Davey Jones so he can become a true pirate.[Nick Mourn]
RRRRRRRRRR. NOBODY INSULTS WILL LIKE THIS IN FRONT OF ME! DIE U FOOLZ! Legolasluvr 00:08, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] wow I AM MAD
someone deleted my facts about will'
AND THEY wEre VErY GOOD
goodness gracious
- Why don't you put them back in. Just because one person decides to remove them, does not mean they should have been taken out in the first place.PNW Raven 17:25, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] DITCHED?
Has anyone noticed the times to which Elizabeth supposedely been jilted at the altar. Clearly some time has passed from when they were supposed to be married as the altar is deserted and raining. You see the East India company comes by boat not by land. So they must have picked Will up somewhere possibly fleeing. Another interesting scene that has me baffled is the scene of the East India company soldiers storming a room that looks like a stable and a scene of handcuffs being laid down by a soldier who has stormed the room. Then you see Will handcuffed being escorted to the altar. Was will hiding in the stable? or was he already detained and when and where. Beckett seems to know something more to Elizabeth's ruined wedding when he says " A marriage interrupted...or fate intervenes?" he also has calm demeanor when she blames him for ruining her wedding. This makes me think that Will did jilt Elizabeth and that Beckett knows it. This should have been mentioned. What do you think?-- [Nick Mourn]
[edit] Script?
I've read the leaked script, and I saw nothing about Will being walked off the plank in the third movie. Could someone correct me if I'm wrong? --KittyCollier 23:27, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- I' ve heard that it was stated that Orland Bloom will probably not enter the PotC IV, because it would make the movie too expensive and his character, Will Turner is not as popular as Jack and Elizabeth. If it's truth, it's possible that Will'll be killed in "At World's End". —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.144.99.3 (talk) 10:30, 31 January 2007 (UTC).
I am almost 100% sure that Will, no matter what happens to him, will not be killed in the 3rd Movie, because if he does, it will be like how Jack Sparrow 'died' in the 2nd Moive. According to more realistic fan fiction, Will will probably stay with Elizabeth, since she will not appear in POTC4, while Jack will, so she won't end up with Jack, and I think the kiss in POTC2 was just an irrelivent attempt at drama, and I think the writers had no itension of causing so much controvercy over it, though they should have known it would happened. It is also said, that as Jack Sparrow, has a captain, can preform a 'marr-i-age', it is said that he will marry Will & Elizebeth eventually. Anyway, all Jack really cares about is his ship that he sold is soul for. In POTC4, only Jack and probably Gibbs will continue, doing what they SHOULD be doing-pirating, Will & Elizabeth having gone of to live happily ever after.- Justyn Skowronek
- Correct me if I'm wrong, but we don't know if there even is going to be a POTC 4. How can you say what may or may not happen? Fan fiction, no matter how interesting, is neither the work of the director, the writers, nor the producer, etc. Wait until May to decide what will happen. By the way, this is not a fan forum to discuss ideas. Arwen undomiel 01:52, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
If Will indeeds stabs the heart of Jones he will become the flying Dutchman's captain because here's why. Only somone already dead can, maybe one of the dutchmen's crewmen, stab the heart because they do not have a living heart. Poor Will stabs the heart turning him into Jones. If Will does become Jones it could explain why Jack might want to stab the heart because it is possible jack becomes a Dutchmen crewmen. As a crewmen he is dead so he can stab the heart or maybe it will be Bootstrap. However whether stabbing the heart will kill will or save him is yet to be known. [ Jeremy Stevens]
[edit] Trivia Entry
I moved the comment about the captain of the ship sunk by the Lusitannia from the first paragraph to the Trivia section. It seemed a more appropriate location for it. I hope everyone's OK with that. PNW Raven 20:42, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Vandalism
The POC: DMC section was vandalized. I restored the original text, but please keep an eye on this page.PNW Raven 17:23, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Photos
There are three nearly identical photos of Will Turner on the main page. They really don't add anything to the article. Can someone add different ones? PNW Raven 15:49, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
Is it just me, or does the picture of Will at the top look a bit stretched? --Arwen undomiel 21:20, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
Any way, my friend works for Disney and he says that the first draft of the script, aka the leaked script, was more like a rough draft than what Disney says. So expect to see large chunk of the leaked script to happen, anyways it's pretty obvius now that you've seen the trailer. He didn't specify on exactly what scenes will happen but the scene of Bootstrap killing Norrington in the leaked script is out but he didn't say whether Bootstrap indeed was going to kill Norrington. Also the possibilities of POTC 4 are still up there but he says it is unlikely with the loss of Knightely and Bloom definitly certain. He did mention some things that did shock me. He mentioned discussions on animations of POTC and possibly straight to dvd POTCS.--[Jeremy Stevens]
Here is something interesting I noticed in the trailer. I was watching on the internet and in the scenes that introduce Orlando Bloom there is a scene of Will that has him wearing a bandana over his head. like Davey Jones, and having a sinister look and standing in what looks like the Flying Dutchman , there's seaweed hanging from the sails and the rudder and back part of the ship looks like it is covered in coral and barnacles. I think somehow Will has turned into Davey Jones. I personally have the theory that Jones steals Wills body for his own need such as pursuing his love interest in Tia Dalma, if she indeed is Calypso. Another scene that introduces Keira Knightly has her turning around to see something behind her, you don't see what it is though, with men behind her cheering at something and the ship they are on looks also like the Flying Dutchman.--[ Nick Mourn]
