Description

Chief Machinist's Mate William Badders of the U.S. Navy, just after being presented with the Medal of Honor for heroism during rescue and salvage operations on USS Squalus (SS-192). Among his other medals are (from left): the Navy Cross; the World War I Victory Medal; and a Yangtse River Patrol Service Medal.
