[edit] Article list
As you can see from this project home page, I have created a page with a list of the articles that were (may still be) tagged under WP:THOMAS that are now in the hands of this project. –MDCollins (talk) 12:25, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you but this page is enough for a simple project. This project is not to be involved with the Thomas project. I do not want a page saying it was under WikiThomas. Plus unlike the Thomas project this is underpopulated. Driveus —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Driveus (talk • contribs) 22:21, 15 March 2007.

- That's fine - I was merely clearing the information from WP:Thomas. What you choose to do with it is up to you. I felt it might be useful for you to be able to use Special:Recentchangeslinked/Wikipedia:WikiProject TUGS/Article list in order to see what changes have been made by your members or vandals to the pages under your control. The redirects are listed there in order that they show up on this list (if, for example, somebody changes a redirect and creates a duplicate page in the wrong place). If this tool is not 'Useful' to you, that's fine. Maybe other members of your project might use it. If not, that is nothing to do with me. Other projects like to see a list of which pages they are working with. If your small page is not one of these, then fine. And also, I was not saying "it was under WikiThomas", I meant these articles were (past tense) under the control of WP:Thomas, but are now under the care of WP:TUGS. Therefore, WP:Thomas will have no more to do with these, unless any members are involved in both projects.
[edit] Best Wishes from WP:THOMAS
You will see that I have re-worded some of the sections on your project page. This was necessary as readers unfamiliar with the two projects might 'get the wrong idea'. I'm afraid our styles of English are very different, so you may want to adjust the wording to hide the joins!
I think you may have misunderstood the views of the currently-active members of WP:THOMAS. "TUGS" was included in 'our' project due to it sharing a production team. Any additional programmes, such as those listed here, were too far removed from Thomas the Tank Engine to be considered part of the project. There is also the small matter that the active WP:THOMAS members know little or nothing about TUGS. So you see, we are very glad to be able to pass on the pages to a group who will look after them properly.
All the best with getting TUGS to Featured status!

- Thank you. We shall look after the articles properly. Good luck with WP:Thomas. Driveus 20:57, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wish to reintroduce American Soundtrack project
About the DVD campaign for TUGS, I'd like to bring up the subject of adding an American English Soundtrack to the episodes as a DVD feature. This was briefly brought up in the TUGS discussion column by yours truly (ohyeh), but it died off due to bitter memories of Salty's Lighthouse, the American version of TUGS.
Here are some reasons why a US soundtrack (and TUGS in America) could be useful:
Q: US voices were put in Salty's Lighthouse, and the series was a disaster. Will the same thing happen with an American Soundtrack to TUGS?
A: In my opinion; no. Salty's Lighthouse was a remix of the 13 episodes. All of the episodes were retoned, characters were switched around, and a preschool/politically correct tone was added to the program. TUGS was a children's program, so the format didn't fit well. There is a big difference between a preschool program and a children's program.
Q: Because of its violent attitude in some scenes, will TUGS draw controversy from parent action groups?
A: There is a slight possibility that that could happen; however, with "violence" being a common theme in today's television shows, chances are that the insults, explosions, crimes, etc will probably be accepted, because that's how the culture is. Even children's shows like "Arthur", "Sesame Street", and the animae shows promote the IEC (Insults, Explosions and Crimes) approach. TUGS is pretty mild, compared to some shows like "Avatar the last Airbender" and Pokemon.
Q: Will Americans understand the British Slang and Nautical Terms?
A: Probably not, but if brought to America, TUGS could be used as a teaching tool for introducing the historical British dialects and terms of the 1920's. And if needed, a glossary could be contained in the DVD case that explains the nautical terms and slang. Kids don't know about this stuff; TUGS can teach!

[edit] My Reply
This is well made. But do have any plans for making a soundtrack. Or do you have any TUGS music? Like Billy shoepack's theme or the song Vienna sang at the end of Bigg Freeze? And try to compare it next time to more related shows like Thomas and Friends, Theodore Tugboat or Spongebob Squarepants (Mainly sea related). —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Driveus (talk • contribs) 17:11, 3 April 2007 (UTC).

This a little boring. Who cares what TUGS can teach. It's known to be created by the producers of Thomas & Friends and more action. Besides unless there's a real soundtrack released or anyother merchandise thing released they do not belong here, the article or anywhere else related. But I like your attempt at trying to start this whatever it is. Also Driveus is on vacation so until he comes back FelixCheng, You (Ohyeh) and I are in control. But we do not add not excistant (Wrong spelling) things into this or related articles ever! Bob 2.0 19:42, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Children's TV in the UK Project
Zesty Prospect and I are trying to start a WikiProject incorperating all Children's TV that were first screened in the UK as some of the articles are in a pretty desperate state. We'd like to co-operate with the TUGS WikiProject. If you're interested in signing up go to the Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals page and it says Children's television programme's in the united kingdom and northern ireland. 3 more signatures are needed. Thanks, Soopa hoops77 12:45, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
- I joined. But why Northern Ireland? Driveus
[edit] Should we?
Do you think we should make a former members section? Someport and 5cran9 quit and Bob 2.0 might be next due to his vandalism. I hope no one else goes. Driveus
