[edit] Project scope

Hey Dinobird, Shouldn't this project be named "Prehistoric aquatic animals" instead ? I guess the name was inspired from the BBC "Sea Monsters" documentary by Tim Haines, but really it also evokes things such as the Kraken and the Loch Ness Monster, and also today's real monsters such as the Giant squid, the White Shark or theAnglerfish. Also, all prehistoric aquatic animals were not "monsters" (Ophthalmosaurus and Archelon were kind of cute). I guess, you do not want to restrict yourself to the creatures seen in the BBC documentary. But overall, good thinking, it's nice to have a project to deal with what is not covered by the WP Dinosaurs and Pterosaurs, i.e. plesiosaurs, ichthyosaurs, mosasaurs, nothosaurs, prehistoric fish, Sea crocs, prehistoric cetaceans and so on... Good luck with the project! ArthurWeasley 18:13, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
