[edit] Paredes

Alright, I created

Parishes of Paredes municipality
Coat of arms of Paredes
Aguiar de Sousa | Astromil | Baltar | Beire | Besteiros | Bitarães | Castelões de Cepeda | Cete | Cristelo | Duas Igrejas | Gandra | Gondalães
Lordelo | Louredo | Madalena | Mouriz | Parada de Todeia | Rebordosa | Recarei | Sobreira | Sobrosa | Vandoma | Vila Cova de Carros | Vilela

for Paredes. I expanded the main article a little bit... The "history" section on Pt. Wikipedia was confusing to me, if someone else knows the subject better and is able to add a more intelligible history section that would be great. Grandmasterka 00:04, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Blank coat of arms

I've created the following picture: Image:Blank pt CoA.PNG, use it whenever a parish you are working on has no coat of arms in the Commons.

It should replace the Image:Wappen fehlt.jpg. Do you agree? If someone can improve it a bit, like creating a transparent background or inserting a good looking "?" in the middle, or anything you want, do it, please. Thanks! Afonso Silva 11:45, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

Looks good to me. Grandmasterka 20:50, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

P.S. If not automatically one already, I'd like to become a member of wikiproject Porto, is there a procedure? Amorphian 14:19, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Project directory

Hello. The WikiProject Council has recently updated the Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Directory. This new directory includes a variety of categories and subcategories which will, with luck, potentially draw new members to the projects who are interested in those specific subjects. Please review the directory and make any changes to the entries for your project that you see fit. There is also a directory of portals, at User:B2T2/Portal, listing all the existing portals. Feel free to add any of them to the portals or comments section of your entries in the directory. The three columns regarding assessment, peer review, and collaboration are included in the directory for both the use of the projects themselves and for that of others. Having such departments will allow a project to more quickly and easily identify its most important articles and its articles in greatest need of improvement. If you have not already done so, please consider whether your project would benefit from having departments which deal in these matters. It is my hope that all the changes to the directory can be finished by the first of next month. Please feel free to make any changes you see fit to the entries for your project before then. If you should have any questions regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you. B2T2 17:19, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Membership

Hello all. I'm a Wikipedian for some time and since I'm also a Porto-born and resident, i was wondering if you need an extra pair of hands? I have free time so, if you need my help for articles/templates concerning Porto, let me know.

[edit] List of Bishops of Porto

Olá. Criei um artigo-lista dos bispos do Porto. Ainda está incompleto, principalmente à medida que nos afastamos do presente, obviamente. Mas coloquei notas e referências segundo os "cânones" da WP. Parutakupiu talk || contribs 01:40, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

Bom trabalho... my Portuguese sucks... good to see you getting involved, the project has been going slower recently but we're still going... Deizio talk 01:53, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
Hi, Deiz. I thought we only had Porto or Portuguese-born editors here... How wrong I was. I must say it's very cool to know a Scotsman; don't know many (or anyone) but i've got the best impressions of you as a people. How come you lived in Oporto?
Anyway, i'm glad to contribute - that's why i joined. It's my first contribution but slowly i'll help more. What about an article assessment for this WP? Parutakupiu talk || contribs 02:05, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
Just passed through really, was there for a few months earlier this year. If you want to go big with this project then go ahead, since being given the extra buttons my article editing and project involvement has slackened off a bit. Deizio talk 16:58, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia Day Awards

Hello, all. It was initially my hope to try to have this done as part of Esperanza's proposal for an appreciation week to end on Wikipedia Day, January 15. However, several people have once again proposed the entirety of Esperanza for deletion, so that might not work. It was the intention of the Appreciation Week proposal to set aside a given time when the various individuals who have made significant, valuable contributions to the encyclopedia would be recognized and honored. I believe that, with some effort, this could still be done. My proposal is to, with luck, try to organize the various WikiProjects and other entities of wikipedia to take part in a larger celebrartion of its contributors to take place in January, probably beginning January 15, 2007. I have created yet another new subpage for myself (a weakness of mine, I'm afraid) at User talk:Badbilltucker/Appreciation Week where I would greatly appreciate any indications from the members of this project as to whether and how they might be willing and/or able to assist in recognizing the contributions of our editors. Thank you for your attention. Badbilltucker 21:28, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
