To keep everything standard, here is the formatting order that should be followed:

Synopsis - a description of the tornado outbreak, some of the key events and the meteorological history of the outbreak.

==Confirmed tornadoes== - use "Reported" until well after the event when all confirmations are likely in.

Table of the tornadoes, featuring their intensity, time (UTC), location/county (if applicable), path length and a brief description (preferably in sentence form) about the damage. If fatalities resulted, insert x deaths before the description. If a tornado, or series of tornadoes, has considerable detail, insert See section on this tornado and write it in the next section.

A separate table should be made for each day when a multi-day event occurs. Separate tables should also be made for two completely separate systems on the same day in a tornado outbreak sequence. If a single-day event (less than 18 hours) goes past midnight local time, but ends before 0800 UTC, it can be included in the previous day's activity.

This section should be sorted in the following order:

• State or province, or country if unknown or not applicable.
• The order of state/province/country should be based on the time of the first tornado reported (and adjusted as necessary), based on UTC time.
• At the bottom of each table, sources should be written.

Note: if a single tornado affected more than one state (or province or country), it should be listed with the jurisdiction it did the most damage in if it was destructive in only one jurisdiction, or the jurisdiction it first touched down in if it was destructive in more than one.

Also, if this list/table of tornadoes is excessively long, say greater than 50 tornadoes, consider splitting it to its own article "List of tornadoes in the .... outbreak", and linking to it in the beginnning of this section

If a tornado or series of tornadoes, usually because of a single supercell in an area, is especially notable and has plenty to write about due to extensive damage, a separate section should be made here. Photos can also be included here.

Also, if this list/table of tornadoes is excessively long, say greater than 50 tornadoes, consider splitting it to its own article "List of tornadoes in the .... outbreak", and linking to it in the beginnning of this section

• Remember to include all relevant categories to link to larger page directories.
• The death toll table should be included when the outbreak death toll reaches 10 or higher, unless they all took place in a single county.
• Any unconfirmed or reported tornado should be shown as F? on the Fujita scale until confirmed as such by local weather offices.
