  • Should we go for a specific number, or try to include all projects we think qualify?
  • Should they all be general exemplars, or should we try to break down into categories, like the Academy Awards and other such awards? In this case, maybe "Best Project for promotion of Featured Articles," "Best Project for General Improvement of All Articles," "Best New Project," and the like.
  • What should the specific criteria for "passing" a WikiProject into "exemplar" status be?

I think we should avoid getting too ceremonial in this venture. Afterall, the aim is to provide examples for developing projects, not to stroke the egos of those which are already doing well. Therefore, I think categorising projects per an awards scheme is probably a Bad Idea; it should be thought of as part of the guide, rather than as a "status" ladder.--cj | talk 01:09, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
