A short opening paragraph stating Parish: Name of parish (with Cornish translation in brackets and italics); settlements encompassed by parish; with which parishes it shares borders; size of parish in acres and miles of foreshore if available Village: Location of village by road; distance to major town in miles and km (Penzance or St Ives)

Paragraph describing how the settlement got its name if known (e.g. any story/legend surrounding a saint, and translations from the Cornish eg Penzance = Holy headland

Split into Neolithic – detail any stone monuments or crosses in the parish and mention any evidence of stone age settlement; Bronze/Iron age ditto; Middle ages – entry from Doomsday book if available plus any other information about growth of the town; Industrial revolution – info about growth of town, mining info etc. Some population stats are available from this period; 20th Century – you get the idea

Descriptions of local gov arrangements that Reedgunner has mostly sewn up :)

Short paragraph detailing local bus (and train where available) services including numbers, routes and frequency.
