This project covers the creation and editing of articles related to the State of West Virginia, its regions, counties, cities, history, geography, and culture. This shall be done through the spirit of cooperation with the end goal of such editing being the production of articles of at least Good Article status, if not Featured Article quality.

The creation of a Portal:West Virginia should be chief among the first works of the project primarily so as to organize existing West Virginia articles. This organization will then lead to the identification of articles for improvement or creation.
