[edit] dnd (computer game)
One of the authors of this game keeps claiming in the text that they invented video games bosses, which is just plain silly. Bosses were invented in Japanese coinop games. These guys copied the way that dragons were used in Dungeons and Dragons. I have no idea if their other claims of being first to do things are right or wrong, but the boss thing is wrong. Peer reviewers will know how to sort it out. Austin -- Part of Texas? 05:55, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
- I'm on the side of dnd atm. Even if it copied D&D's use of dragons, it had a single hard enemy at the end of the game, the definition of a boss. Considering the date of creation for dnd, I don't see any Japanese coin-op games coming before it. What game do you think is the first to have bosses?--SeizureDog 07:31, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
