Wikipedia:WikiProject User Page Help/Content Advice/Contributions

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

You can use your userpage to tell people what you have done in the past, and what you plan to do in the future. One way to show off your contributions is simply to provide a link to Special:Contributions/Your name here, which will show all the edits you've ever done. Of course, you might want to highlight some especially important contributions, such as the articles you've created and/or those you've made significant contributions to.

You can also list organisations you're a member of. These include the subject WikiProjects (e.g. WikiProject Biology), the more social organisations such as Esperanza and Welcoming Committee, and other project organisations like the Counter-Vandalism Unit.

You may also be active in other project areas without being a listed member of an organisation, and may wish to list those. These could include the Wikipedia:Cleanup Taskforce, the Help desk or the Articles for deletion discussions.

Administrators, arbitrators and those with similar positions of power will also usually identify themselves as such on their userpage.

You might also keep a notepad of future articles you intend to embark upon at some point in the future. If you don't have any, then drop SuggestBot a message and get some!
