- Brake_(railway) We perhaps need someone who knows about these things to describe the EP brake, as used on the Southern Region of British Railways for around 50 years with great success. From my own understanding, this is a form of Air Brake where each coach (car if you're not in the UK) has its own air supply and cylinders. This is to allow fast recycling of the brake for suburban work and also very effective at applying the brake very quickly. Soarhead77 21:19, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
