WikiProject on Timon of Athens

[edit] Scope

The goal of this project is to create and improve articles on topics related to Shakespeare's play Timon of Athens. These topics include character pages, reactions to and criticism of the play, the authorship controversy, etc.

[edit] How to help

Even if you aren't an expert on the play, you're encouraged to make whatever contributions you can. To start, it would be good to have polished articles for the three major characters: Alcibiades, Apemantus, and Timon. Also, the main Timon of Athens article needs to be significantly expanded, and brief descriptions of the characters should be added to List of Shakespearean characters.

  • Scottandrewhutchins--I love the play so much I adapted it into a screenplay, but I try not to make my interpreations stick too hard to what I put in the article. My favorite commentator on Timon is Soellner, who doesn't believe the Middleton attribution, which means I'll probably be a stickler for the neutrality of that theory's representation.
