- Expand Theoretical linguistics - it's just a stub, now
- Expand Phonetics
- Expand Syntax and provide references - the current article is about both natural and computer languages, may need to split the article
- Expand Semantics#Linguistics and provide references
- Expand Lexical semantics and improve references - another stub
- Expand Prototype (linguistics) - a stub
- Expand Stylistics (linguistics) - a stub
- Expand Pragmatics and provide references
- Expand Sociolinguistics and present a more balanced overview.
- Sort out Generative grammar and Generative linguistics - neither has references, and a merge has been proposed. There is also some confusion where Transformational grammar which contains items that are not transformational and really belong either on their own page or under Generative grammar
- Sort out Deep grammar (a stub) and Deep structure (short, but with references) - merge?
- Principles and parameters This article is in need of attention from an expert on the subject.'

- Expand and heavy cleanup on Accent (linguistics). Article needs an expert and someone willing to cleanup the generalizations and inaccuracies.
