[edit] WikiProject Retailing newsletter for October 2006

Hello, this is the WikiProject Retailing newsletter, Volume 2. You are receiving this either because your name is listed on our members list or because you have expressed that you did not want this sent to your talk page. (The newsletter subscription has been suggested to remain opt-out as it is currently, please provide feedback on this)

News
  • The controversial article Criticism of Wal-Mart has recently survived a nomination for AfD. The result was to keep; however, merge and redirect was also considered on the nomination page. Also, a new solution has been proposed by the admin Thebainer to restructure the criticism content related to Wal-Mart, and he is currently requesting feedback on Wal-Mart's talk page. One of WikiProject Retailing's goals is to provide a content structure for topics such as this one.
  • The template {{retailing-subscription}} is now available! It is an alternative to receiving this newsletter, and adds the contents of the WikiProject Retailing noticeboard on your userpage, in the same fashion as {{signpost-subscription}}. The noticeboard can be edited by anyone and can include links to major change proposals in the article namespace as well as specific requests from other Wikipedians.
Open tasks
  • Currently, there are no big-box specialty retailers, such as Best Buy or Home Depot, listed in our article list. You can help out by adding category killers to the article list and to identify general issues in the fashion that is currently used on that project page.
  • The article Bamberger's doesn't currently cite from anything. Find some sources for it and give the article proper citations.
