WikiProject Radiology aims to better organize information in articles related to Radiology. Radiology is the medical specialty of medicine that deals with acquisition and interpretation of medical images, such as chest X-rays, MRIs, CTs, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. WikiProject Radiology
[edit] Scope
The clinical aspects of radiology and basic aspects of engineering and biomedical physics required to understand medical imaging techniques.
This WikiProject aims to:
- increase the quality of the current articles on radiology topics by increasing their medical content while keeping them accessible to individuals with no specialty medical knowledge
- facilitate the creation of new articles on topics in radiology, so that Wikipedia is a more-or-less comprehensive radiology resource for the public
- ensure that articles created on radiology topics are thoroughly referenced and include up-to-date links to the most recent literature
- explain the use of evidence-based medicine in radiology
- maintain consistency per WP:MOS on radiology articles
- increase the number of images attached to articles
- produce radiology-themed featured articles based on the above

- bone fracture: ideal if we had a non-reduced/fixed fracture XR
- pulmonary embolism: has no radiology at all!
- endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography: needs cholangiogram
- Diffuse esophageal spasm: need article and corkscrew esophagus barium swallow
- Achalasia: would be ideal to have barium swallow
- Lymphangioleiomyomatosis; compare to tuberous sclerosis where the CT chests of the former are supposed to be far more impressive
- Barium swallow: need barium swallow image
- Crohn's disease: would be great if we had a classic string sign image
- endoscopic ultrasound: ultrasound picture needed
