[edit] Protein: Annotation of structure, function and interactions.

The objective of this project is to make it a central wiki location where information on different specific proteins can be added by the community - Each lab or group studying a specific protein could create/update a page about that specific protein. For a general user the information about the importance of the protein in general physioligical framework would be interesting, whereas for a student intending to gain expertise on it, the structural and functional annotation that is so far known about it would be of tremendous use. Each page then becomes a "community generated Review" of scientific work in pertaining to it, and becomes a good starting point for researchers studying relevant problems.

Content Creators: create nodes for specific proteins or protein families and describe the information pertaining to them such as known structure, interaction patterns, function and role in signal transduction pathways.

Taxonomy is created in terms of organism/structural class, etc, leading to the final node on a specific protein

This is a new Project created to assemble all key findings of specific proteins
