- To create general guidelines and standards to use in articles related to Portuguese geography (e.g. municipalities, parishes, regions, rivers, mountains).
- To facilitate & encourage translation of existing Portuguese articles from other wikis.
- To attract Portuense editors to the English WP and work together on articles and copyediting

- Expand the main article, Geography of Portugal.
- Improve the Subdivisions of Portugal article.
- Analyze the present standard for articles about Portuguese districts (e.g. District of Faro) and propose any changes.
- Analyze the present standard for articles about Portuguese municipalities (e.g. Alcácer do Sal) and propose any changes.
- Analyze the present standard for articles about Portuguese parishes (e.g. Cedofeita) and propose any changes.
- All of the ~4200 Portuguese parishes have an article in PT Wiki, help translating them according to the guidelines.

- Category:Portuguese navigational boxes, for general templates.
- Category:Portuguese parishes by municipality navigational boxes, for parishes by municipality templates. When creating similar templates, keep the standard and categorize it.

Add any municipalities you find (they are just a few). Several municipalities in Azores, Madeira and the municipality of Bragança already have all the parishes with article, however, they are not formatted according to the standards.
