Wikipedia:WikiProject New Jersey/NJCOTW

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The New Jersey Collaboration of the Week is a collaborative effort to reduce the number of nonexistant New Jersey articles and to improve the quality of existing articles about New Jersey.

Remember that once something has "won" the vote for nomination, participants then need to commit to do their share of the actual work. In this manner we will be able to make a substantial dent in one of our holes by working collaboratively, sharing both the effort and the ideas that we can each contribute.

The current NJ collaboration of the week is Geography of New Jersey. This is an effort by participants of WikiProject New Jersey to create and improve articles relating to New Jersey. Please help this effort by helping out on Geography of New Jersey.

Please consider joining the effort; you do not have to be living in New Jersey to help.

[edit] Nominations

The next NJCOTW will be selected on March 14, 2006.

  2. Add Template:NJnom onto the talk page of the article you wish to nominate.
  3. Add the nominations onto the bottom of the following list, using the template below:
===[[article name with double-brackets surrounding it]]===

Comments:

  • Definitely a worthy article for creation. The New Jersey article is weak in describing the geography of New Jersey, and the prose is very weak and unexpansive. AndyZ 14:10, 7 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Kean family, Frelinghuysen family

Nominated [March 9, 2006]; needs 2 votes by [March 16] (minimum 2 votes per week)

-renominated- no time limit, wikiproject is being revitalized.

Comments:

  • Famous political families of NJ. If you go to the Frelinghuysen disambig page, you can see the start of an article already. One example of a completed article is Delano family. See here for a list of those public officials who comprise the Kean family, and a good reference start.
