Welcome to Task Force Registered Historic Districts, part of the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) WikiProject. We are a contingent of editors affiliated with the NRHP main project dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of listings on the U.S. Registered Historic Districts.

(For general information on WikiProjects, please see Wikipedia:WikiProject and the Guide to WikiProjects).

You can also see a list of the Task Force's Open Tasks.

[edit] Task Force information

[edit] Scope

The Task Force covers all articles about U.S. National Register of Historic Places Historic District listings. This is to include main, overview articles of each district, sub articles about district "contributing structures," and, when appropriate lists compiling all contributing structures within a district.

[edit] Article names

The name of the article should be the current, formal title of the place. Other accepted names can be indicated in the first sentence with bold text. If there are multiple places with the same name, the article should be entitled Name (City, State).

With historic districts it is usually wise to include the city and state of a site that has multiple NRHP lists linking to it. Names that need to be disambiguated may even be shared by multiple locales in historic districts within the same state; those links will not appear until the lists are completed, see open tasks.

[edit] Infoboxes

See this page for an example of usage.

The infobox is the same as the infobox for main U.S. National Register of Historic Places articles.

There are, however, two minor changes. For the parameter, "nrhp_type=" (of which the default is a link to U.S. National Register of Historic Places) enter "hd". This will link the type, below the name, in the infobox to U.S. Registered Historic District. For a contributing structure, site or object enter "cp" in the same parameter and get the output of U.S. Historic District Contributing Property.

If a contributing property is individually listed on the Register as well, do not use the "cp" parameter, just use the default.

Quick Summary:

For infobox parameter "nrhp_type=" enter:
