The peer review department of the India WikiProject conducts peer review of articles on request. The primary objective is to encourage better articles by having contributors who may not have worked on articles to examine them and provide ideas for further improvement.

The peer review process is highly flexible and can deal with articles of any quality; however, requesting reviews on very short articles may not be productive, as there is little for readers to comment on.

All reviews are conducted by fellow editors—usually members of the India WikiProject. While there is a general intent to expand this process to allow for review by subject experts, the preparations for this are not yet complete.

[edit] Requesting a review

1. Add peer-review=yes to the {{WP India}} project banner at the top of the article's talk page (see the project banner instructions for more details on the exact syntax).
2. From there, click on the "request has been made" link that appears in the template. This will open a page to discuss the review of your article.
3. Place === [[Name of nominated article]] === at the top.
4. Below it, write your reason for nominating the article and sign by using four tildes (~~~~).
5. Add {{Wikipedia:WikiProject India/Peer review/Name of nominated article}} at the top of the list of requests on this page.

Everyone is encouraged to comment on any request listed here. To comment on an article, please add a new section (using ==== [[User:Your name|Your name]] ====) for your comments, in order to keep multiple responses legible.

[edit] Archiving

Reviews should be archived after they have been inactive for some time, or when the article is nominated as a featured article candidate. To archive a review:

1. Replace peer-review=yes with old-peer-review=yes in the {{WP India}} project banner template at the top of the article's talk page
2. Move {{Wikipedia:WikiProject India/Peer review/Name of nominated article}} from this page to the current archive page.

This is a formal request for peer review for the article- Karamana Because, Karamana is considered to be one of the important places in the district of thiruvananthapuram. • Comments Lacks references and inline citations. Add those. Please see the article Shahbag, which is a neighbourhood of Dhaka, and has recently undergone great improvement. You may consider following the format there, eg Etymology, History, Layout, Culture etc. Or you may see Wikipedia:WikiProject Indian cities for guidance. • Comments :

1. The land of Karamana is made fertile by its own river, Karamana River - Is this sentence accurate ? Can Karamana river be considered as the own river of Karamana region ? I believe that the sentence should be reframed.
2. The section Antiquity data contains just one sentence. The sentence can be moved to the lead, and the section can be dropped.
3. In the section Civil Society and Administration, the sentence : passes through Karamana onward to the CBD's of Thiruvananthapuram. creates confusion to readers. Please expand CBD.
4. The hyperlinks given in the article should be changed to wikipedia Citations.
5. There are many sentences which starts immediatly after a punctuation mark, without any space in between. A thorough copy editing is needed for the article. See : Wikipedia:How to copy-edit

[edit] Silent Valley National Park

This article has been selected as the Collaboration of the Month (March 2007) by WikiProject Protected areas of India.

We are working to upgrade the Silent Valley article to at least B-Class India articles of High-importance [1] status.

Detailed suggestions for improvement from disinterested third party Wikipedians will be taken seriously and acted upon this month.
We have done a lot but may be getting Myopic.

Specific comments on each section may also be added to to our Tasks. Links to newer references would also be most appreciated.

The History section should be written in a prose manner rather than a chronological way. The visitor information part need to be summarised and need to be written in a manner which is suitable for an encyclopedia. The present content may be incorporated into WikiTravel.
