This WikiProject is centered around articles relating to the U.S. state of Illinois.

  • Kenallen - Born in Lincoln, Illinois, but currently living in Normal, Illinois
  • Ilyanep - I was considering starting this as well...so I'll join in. Living in Carol Stream, Illinois
  • Kelly Martin - While I'm from Indiana (Lafayette and Indianapolis) I've been a resident of Niles, Illinois since 2001. There's more than Chicago in Illinois!
  • DS1953 - I grew up in Marshall, Illinois (about 15 miles from Terre Haute, Indiana), went to college in Champaign, Illinois and have lived in Chicago and Evanston, Illinois for almost 30 years, so I agree there is more to Illinois than just Chicago.

  • HollyAm - Native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin now living in Chicagoland; I'll admit I don't know much outside the Chicago area but will help where I can.
  • Isipeoria - Myrtle Beach, SC (lived in Illinois for many years; moved to SC recently]]
  • Kukini - formerly University Park, IL
  • Robovski - Born in northern Illinois, spent early childhood in Little Egypt, and 20 years in Chicago. Currently residing in Scotland, still has family in Illinois and visits annually.
  • Jtrost - lived in central Illinois my whole life. I've started and contribute to local articles.
  • Johndodd - Born in Peoria, undergrad at U of I in Champaign, currently back there for law school. I'll take requests for photos on my talk page... But I can't promise when I'll get around to them. Class comes first. :-)

  • Mike Theodore - Lifelong resident of western Cook County. Interested in politics, weather, and history. Willing to write anything about this great state.

  • sandmouse I live in West Chicago (the city, not the region in Chicago), so I can contribute to the pages about 'country' areas like that, notably West Chicago, Winfield, and St. Charles.

  • Causesobad: My ambition is to study at University of Chicago someday. Illinois is also state of Abraham Lincoln, my idol.
  • Kranar drogin - born in Rockford, Illinois, raised in Stillman Valley, Illinois, and currently living in Byron, Illinois. I will be working mostly in the Winnebago and Ogle County areas of research.
  • Abog - born and raised in the Northwest Suburbs and have already made substantial edits to my hometown pages. Knowledgeable, geography-oriented, and willing to work on just about anything in Chicagoland and Northern Illinois. I often make edits while not logged in.
  • MasterA113 - born, raised, and lived north of Chicago my entire life. I am knowledgable about history, schools, towns, and railroads. I live almost as far north as north gets without being in Wisconsin.
  • Knowpedia - born and raised in western suburbs of Chicago. Now living in Michigan. Knowledgable about many Historically small events that play a large part in most local articles.
  • ilerne3 - live in River North and have been a resident of Chicagoland for 17 years. Love this city and happy to help.
  • FiNch420 - Born in St. Louis, Missouri, but raised in Lincoln, Illinois my whole life.
