Road Information: A list of information using bullets to show them. Be sure to mention about Local Names (Nicknames), Official Names, Municipalities, Length, Transportation, Road Status, Attractions, Zonings, and additional notes. Below is an example.

  • Locally referred to as (From west to east): Rutherford Road, Carrville Road, 16th Avenue
  • Municipalities (From west to east): Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham
  • Length: 40km (within York Region)
  • Transportation: mainly YRT Routes 85, 85A, 85B, and future 85C (from Beaver Creek to Markham-Stouffville Hospital)
  • Attractions: Kortright Centre for Conservation, Vaughan Mills Mall, David Dunlap Observatory (walking distance needed), Buttonville Airport
  • Road status: Mostly a 4-lane paved avenue, 6-lanes in portions near Vaughan Mills and between Mural Street/Vogell Road and Highway 404, 2 lane road east of Markham bypass and west of Highway 27
  • Zoning: Various, lots of residential, commercial, and farmland (mainly to west and east)
  • Additional information: Rutherford Road stretches from Highway 50 to Bathurst Street, Carrville is from Bathurst to Yonge, and 16th Avenue is from Yonge Street to the York Durham Line. Rutherford Road is known as Castlemore Road (which eventually becomes Bovaird Drive) in Peel Region (west of Highway 50)

Purpose: If available, you can state its original purpose of why the government would build the road. State your citation if necessary.

Description: Here, you describe the road conditions, such as number of lanes, paved or unpaved, and amount of traffic it receives each day. 5 to 10 lines are sufficient.

Public Transit: Make a list of bus routes driving along the road. Be sure to state which portion of the road the bus route is using. For example:

Highway 7 is served by YRT Route 1, and a joint service Route 77 by YRT and Brampton Transit. It is served by Viva purple from McCowan Road to Yonge Street and Viva orange from Interchange Way to Martin Grove Road. Numerous other routes also use portions of Highway 7, including:

  • YRT Route 10
  • YRT Route 23
  • YRT Route 40
  • YRT Route 41
  • YRT Route 87
  • YRT Route 522
  • TTC Route 25D
  • Viva Purple (peak service west of Interchange Way)
  • Viva Pink (peak hours only)
