First, an important note for everyone to remember:

A few Wikipedians have got together to make some suggestions about how we might organise data in these articles. These are only suggestions, things to give you focus and to get you going, and you shouldn't feel obligated in the least to follow them. But if you don't know what to write or where to begin, following the below guidelines may be helpful. Mainly, we just want you to write articles!

WikiProject Evolutionary biology

[edit] Scope

The theory of evolution is the central unifying paradigm of biology - Nothing in biology makes sense except in the light of evolution [1]. This WikiProject aims primarily to co-ordinate various aspects of evolutionary biology particularly population genetics, molecular evolution and other related fields. It is distinct from the Wikiproject tree of life in that it attempts to cover patterns, process and theory rather than systematics and taxonomy.

[edit] Parentage

The parent of this WikiProject is the WikiProject Biology.

[edit] Header for Talk pages

This message is to appear Talk: namespace on a relevant page as a header. We can use it to add open tasks etc, it functions in the same way as the Template:Album message.

Charles Darwin This article is part of WikiProject Evolutionary biology, an attempt at building a useful set of articles on evolutionary biology and its associated subfields such as population genetics, quantitative genetics, molecular evolution, phylogenetics, evolutionary developmental biology. It is distinct from the WikiProject Tree of Life in that it attempts to cover patterns, process and theory rather than systematics and taxonomy.
