Not recognized by any major kennel club
This breed of dog is extinct
Notes
...

• name is required; all other variables are optional.
• All variables for each kennel club are required if any are used at all (for example, akcgroup and akcstd). If a value is not available, set it to blanks.
• If the breed is not recognized by any major kennel club, include the notrecognized variable and set it to yes (actually to anything--text is ignored but it makes the table content work correctly).
• If the breed is a part of the AKC's foundation stock service, include the akcfss variable and set it to yes (actually to anything--text is ignored but it makes the table content work correctly).
• If you want to specify multiple entries for the altname or nickname variables, these must be on one line with
separating them.
• The comments at the beginning and end don't affect the appearance of the table but please always include them to help newcomers understand what's going on when they edit the page.

[edit] Infobox variables

• name: Breed name as in article title.
• image: The name of the image (leave off Image:)
• Thumbnails of most known dog photos are listed at Album of dog photo thumbnails. Some don't have articles yet.
• If you upload a new photo, make sure that both source and copyright are OK (e.g., name of photographer and GFDL) and add to the album.
• Use the best breed photo available for the infobox image.
• image_caption: A caption that describes the image.
• Include a caption that mentions the coat-color, tail, ear, etc. variation and whether the dog is, for example, a puppy or nonstandard in other ways; Wikipedia standard now seems to be for full sentences, but if it's only a coat color variation we haven't been doing full sentences, just Blue merle Aussie or the like.
• altname: Other names by which the breed is known by English speakers.
• The list of names for the breed in the FCI standards is a good starting point; also can include common breed names from other English-speaking countries and kennel clubs. User:Sannse initially created a useful spreadsheet listing these known about for new articles (can also use Google search for English web sites for the possible breed names).
• To specify more than one name, you must specify them all on one line separated by
• nickname: Common nicknames
• These are shortened names that aren't an official breed name but that are in common use by owners or breeders of these dogs (e.g., "Doxie" for Dachshund; "GSD" for German Shepherd Dog).
• As above, to specify more than one name, you must specify them all on one line separated by
• country: Country of origin, preferably at time of origin to avoid squabbling over current political boundaries.
• Also available on the spreadsheet (or see breed's FCI listing - but be aware that the country listed may be the country responsible for the standard and not the true country of origin).
• akcfss: Add this if the breed is a part of the AKC's Foundation Stock Service
• akcmisc: Add this if the breed is a part of the AKC's Miscellaneous group
• ckcmisc: Add this if the breed is a part of the CKC's Miscellaneous class
• extinct: Add this if the breed is is now extinct.
• notes: Notes about the breed recognition or standards.
• Comments such as: "This breed is recognized by the American Rare Breed Association", etc..
• Classification and breed standards:
• FCI standards; all four options are required.
• fcigroup: The name of the group to which the dog belongs. (Hound, Working, etc..)
• fcisection: The section number of the above group.
• fcinum: The number of the dog breed.
• fcistd: The URL to the FCI breed standard. You can use a couple of different web sites for this.

http://www.fci.be/uploaded_files/243gb99_en.doc
• AKC standards; both options are required
an example for the Alaskan Malamute is: http://www.akc.org/breeds/alaskan_malamute/index.cfm
If the group is FSS, see preceding akcfss instructions.
• ANKC standards; both options are required
• ankcgroup: The number and name of the group to which the dog belongs. (Referring to the hound, etc. group)
Please put this in the format: Group NUMBER - (NAME)
• CKC standards; both options are required
• ckcgroup: The name of the group to which the dog belongs. (Hound, Working, etc..)
Please put this in the format: Group NUMBER - (NAME)
• KC (UK) standards; both options are required
