For an organization that has existed since 1839 and has not one, but dozens and dozens of histories, it seems appropriate that a Wikipedia project ought to be formed to detail the stories of Beta Theta Pi's chapters in North America. This is a relatively unique project inasmuch as there really aren't any other fraternity/chapter projects in existence. However, it seems like a logical descendent project from the Fraternity and Sorority project (in many respects, this project is modeled off of that one, created by ^neoEinstein.) and, since there's lots of content to be had, a justifiable one.

To provide interesting, NPOV articles on Beta Theta Pi chapters, done through:

Adding neutral, fact-based content to articles.
Expanding chapter stubs.
Creating a unified look for all of the chapters.

[edit] What you can do to help

Beta Theta Pi members can do a lot to make headway for their own chapters. Spread the word to your brothers and make sure they contribute, either through you or through their own edits.
- Make sure there is agreement as to what is historically accurate. Ask alumni, check past newspaper articles, official chapter publications, etc.
If you are not a member but have relevent information, welcome! The guidelines above are relevent to you, as well.
As always, grammatical, spelling, and other typographical/factual errors are always in need of correction. Please fix these where and when you can!
